Vincent, We (a little group of 3 die-hard 220MHz hams) have been trying to get it together for a number of years now to get the repeater re-activated. We had it located on a good mountain top site near Cherry Valley but it was impossible to get there (except for over a mile hike on foot)and this was especially problematic since none of us live in the area anymore. I grew up in Cherry Valley and my parents are still there but I have lived in the Rochester area for over 20 years now.
However, I now have an offer for free tower space on East Hill outside Cherry Valley. And you can actually get to this site with a 2-wheel drive vehicle. Coverage should also be as good or better from the site - especially in the Mohawk Valley and up towards Saratoga. We are planning to make this a summer time project and have the repeater up and running by the fall. I also want to get it linked into the IRLP so I can use it from here. > Hi Gene, > > Be nice to see another 220 rpt in this area. > > Vincent N6OA/2 Stamford, NY > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Gene Fassett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2006 12:20 PM > Subject: Re: [Repeater-Builder] Re: 220MHz Repeater Power Amp??? > > >> Skipp (and group), >> >> I downloaded the high band VHF amp owners manula from your web site - >> Thanks.
