Probably some Motorola MRF-xxx type equivalent. I'd probably use
a Motorola RF Transistor Data Book to look for a matching power
level and case style. I'd also need to know how many stages
are in the amplifier...? ... direct drive of 2 output transistors
or if there's a single or dual predriver stage before the
final sections.
Other ideas are to search out diagrams for the MFJ, RF Concepts,
Mirage and other common brands of 220 100 watt amplifiers to
see what transistor they use(d).
Also... go visit the RF Parts Web page... if you're using a
classic amplifier dual final circuit, you probably have two
60 watt transistors in parallel.
We'd need more information or someone in the know about TPL's
transistor equivalents, but they're probably just using house
numbered transistors bought from a mfgr, which are the same if
not very similar to the common numbers we all refer to often.
You're starting to head in the right direction.
