About the Uniden 220 "Trunking ACSB Mode Linear Amplifiers". They were made by Milcom and some of you have already worked on them in various forms. The only online reference seems to be the N2CKH page: http://www.n2ckh.com/125m_rptr.htm I have found the ARX-2125 chassis to be frequency limited above the trunking band. The output derated quite a bit. I have the Milcom version of the same or similar chassis working very well with minor conversions. I rebiased the amplifier and removed the wideband hybrid first stage. Vcc voltage is pretty critical so I provide a regulated 28 volt supply (not the original). From memory I get about 130 watts output with 7 to 14 watts input. The Uniden Amplifiers have a lot of additional electronics (in the form of protection and feedback circuits).
