I could use some advice from someone who has built one of these types of
programmers. I put one together on on a perfboard and cannot get it to
write to an eprom. It can read just fine. Pins 1&11 of the '373 latch chip
are pulled high all the time and I'm not sure if this is correct. Have
checked my wiring several times; no mistakes. Have tried powering from a 9V
battery as well as from a wall wart (both using a 5V regulator of course)
Have also tried different latch chips and different computers. Have tried
different X2212s.
Has anyone been down this road before and would be willing to give some
advice? For such a simple schemo, this thing sure is a bear to make work.
TIA
