Motorola brought out the HMN4080 GPS Remote Speaker Microphone for the XTS5000 radio almost two years ago. It is about the same size as the typical RSM. At nearly $300 a copy, it is a pricey accessory!

Re: GPS Speaker Mic (Kenwood) A new commercial radio toy from Kenwood... we're playing around with a new Kenwood KMC-38gps speaker mic. The mic has all the gps stuff inside. Imagine being able to do aprs - avl position type operation by adding just the mic. Pretty cool..! Wanna story..? We put some avl/gps equipment into a customers truck and portable radio fleet. The results have been a mixed bag of trouble and fun. He's had to fire over 20% of his road crew after the first month. People sleeping in various locations which include the back lot of the local booby-bar. No one likes big brother watching but sometimes as a business owner you've got to keep more than a casual eye open. If you're into aprs or various activities (hiking, hunting and camping) where location information is more than just handy... I think the new generation of portable mics with built in gps units are going to be very popular. I'm sure MFJ and the other Radio Companies will offer similar products... if they aren't already out. cheers, skipp skipp025 at yahoo.com ps: If you're into aprs... check out the tiny-trac units.
