Well... maybe the Mary Jane sent post didn't make it after all. Anyway, let me resend this.. The name of the threaded rod material in many cavities might be Invar but the tune plungers are often made of COPPER and in many commercial examples not even silver plated. The washers and e-clips often found at the end of the plungers are often made of steel... in many cases stainless. If one can find a way to properly secure the plunger travel the choice of Invar is not a requirement because not all cavities are made with the typical threaded rod adjustment. s.
