To start the new year out on a positive note anyone on this list have any experience building a solar powered repeater system? I'd like to get a better understanding on the use of solar panels, charging system, type of batteries used and duty cycle.
I'd like to experiment with a totally new subminiature repeater [my own design] powered by solar energy and "stashed" somewhere out here in the desert southwest, for local Ham communications. Any ideas and thoughts on this?? **Happy New Year** Doug W7FDF Vail, Arizona U.S.A.
