Yeah, I have a bunch of the vx2000's. I like the little boogers. The bummer is that the COS line is not programmable to operate with CTCSS. It is always a carrier indicator, even if the radio is in decode. If it were otherwise, I'd be using them for more IRLP and echolink projects. I use maxtracs and alincos for that, as I can get what I need from them.
