I have lots of Mitrek elements and was expecting to find them in the the uhf msr2000. Have had no experience with the Kxn1112aa but when I look at the page, I don't think I'll have any trouble with them. The xtals were removed before I got the units so I can't fire them up until I install the new ones. This repeater will be in a very warm environment (roof top boiler room of a old folks home.)so maybe the 1112 element will be a good thing. Last summer was a killer up there it took out the power supply we were using for an old MII. I am putting fans on the unit for the amplifier and the power supply regulator. I also removed the outside case to allow air movement. (that is if there is any). The building is one of the tallest in the city and the rent and power are free!! Repeater has been up there for about 15years. Power supply was an old telco type and went into high voltage. The overvoltage diode in the SCOM 7K shorted and blew the receiver fuse. I think this saved the Doug Hall unit also. They were all on the same fuse. However, the PA in the transmitter is shot.
Thanks Doug VE5DA
