Not all of either can be upgraded-only the newer ones. Older Quantars and MIII's don't have the hardware to accomodate it. BTW-Kenwood, Icom, Vertex, and Relm are reselling Daniels. And I think a couple of others do too. -- Jim Barbour WD8CHL
