[up on my soap box] The original ACC Repeater controllers had the... best kerchunk software. I tried for years to nag a few controller mfgrs to include the original ACC style kerchunk filter option and they all seem to miss the point and built the classic delayed tx mess. The 850 kerchunk filter really does work very well. Interestingly, the later version of the 850 also had a delayed tx feature that suppressed carrier entirely rather than truncating it like the kerchunk filter does. It can be programmed up to 4 seconds in millisecond increments. Unfortunately it can be activated and deactivated only by unlocking the controller and going into the programmer which makes it unavailable at the control operator level. ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone.
