I'm interested in the answer too, since I have a 4075 here that's also behaving strangely... I think it's a 4075, anyway... can't remember, and it's not here where I am right now... but loaned it back to the people that originally acquired it, and they found it acted strangely too, and used a spare Wacom they had, instead... now I'm really curious what's "up" with it.
