Hi Tony, I have at least one of every common model DCI Filter and a pretty large number of custome made DCI filters. They work very well for what they are spec'd to be. I've been very happy with every one I've used. I had DCI make repeater receiver window filters for me to my specs and they work very well. Very cost/performance effective vs buying new window filters from the larger mfgrs. I even had one made up for a 224 MHz antenna combiner system. However, don't expect both the DCI and more traditional Decibel, Telewave & Sinclair Receiver Window Filters to have knife sharp band edge skirts. If you try to make a knife sharp edge 5 MHz repeater band window filter you will learn it won't happen the way you would expect. Sharp edge window filters are made but they are another level of design and construction... ie a bit/lot more money. One other last thought... most of the out of box filters can solve basic wide band related problems when you keep in mind how wide they really are. cheers, skipp www.radiowrench.com
