A regular user of our linked repeater system has an ICOM IC-208H. He
frequently has trouble understanding transmissions, and we think it's
because his radio does a poor job of passing anything but flat repeater
audio.

I say this because when he uses the one repeater in our network with
flat audio, he never complains (regardless of the repeater's signal
strength). As soon as he switches to a repeater with processed audio,
he has tremendous difficulty understanding transmissions; it's common
for him to say "please repeat that."

Since he's the only one who ever complains, I'm wondering if there's an
adjustment that could be made to his radio or speaker.

I don't think we've heard of any other individuals using an IC-208H. I
wonder if there's a service menu adjustment?

Thanks.
