Easy - use a straight db9 cable to program - requires software and you will have to re-tune the front end. An extender card would be really nice.
FIRST - be sure the radio is working on 151.505 properly. After reprogramming you will need to remove the antenna relay and you will really enjoy the M3. You do not need an outboard controller - this would detract from what you already have. Hang time, morse ID, DTMF on and off are already built in. I use an outboard receiver (bearcat scanner) and a DTMF decoder on a 438 Mhz frequency to manually move the repeater to F2 (purposely left blank) to kill the repeater in compliance with control operator rules. You could also RIG an on / off into the tx dis switch as well. aceteamk9 wrote: > I have a GE MASTRIII SXHM01 that is currently on the 151.505 > frequency.
