Hi, Nate. I have a VHF PA sitting next to me and the sticker says:
CAUTION Tightening Torgues For Transistor Hardware Must Be Adhered To 6 +- in/lbs for 4-40 hdw 8 +- in/lbs for 8-32 hdw 12 +-in/lbs for 10-32 hdw I have not seen it in the LBI's either. Anyone ever seen specs for these transistors anywhere? The later PA's are labeled with various torque specifications for the screw/tab style transistors on the newer PA's, and there's a label on this older one for various size nuts, but nothing I can find any LBI's about the transistors themselves. To be honest, I haven't been able to find an LBI for the older-style VHF PA anywhere I've looked, yet. A friend and I refurbished one of the older-style PA's this weekend, but we'd like to "do it right" and make sure we've torqued the PA transistors correctly (and evenly). Thanks in advance...
