I gave my U51GGT-3100 (with extender) on 29.6 FM to a friend on a long term loan about 10 years ago to install in his car. I don't think he has ever done anything with it.
I gave my U41GGB-1100 (with extender) on 52.525 to a friend on a long term loan about 9 years ago. He used it for a few months. I have a UHF tube type base consolette in immaculate condition with the solid state channel elements that I have intended to convert to amateur for about 10 years & tune it up on my repeater frequency to use at my office. ------ Original Message ------ Received: Mon, 16 Jul 2007 09:09:20 PM CDT From: Captainlance <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Repeater-Builder] Any Motorola "banana reeds" still around? > Yes, a U51GGT on 10 meters, and a U43GGT on 2 meters... also a GE Progress line on 2M, ( MT36)... and a DuMont 5814, 2 meter, 6 volt in my 1950 DeSoto ! > Lance N2HBA > ----- Original Message ----- > From: JOHN MACKEY > To: [email protected] > Sent: Monday, July 16, 2007 7:23 PM > Subject: RE: [Repeater-Builder] Any Motorola "banana reeds" still around? > > > Does anyone else still have any T-power vitage radios operational? > > ------ Original Message ------ > Received: Mon, 16 Jul 2007 07:11:00 PM CDT > From: "JOHN MACKEY" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Subject: RE: [Repeater-Builder] Any Motorola "banana reeds" still around? > > > I know exactly what they are, they worked in the Motorola Twin-Vee, > T-Power, > > early Motrac, and very early Motran radios. > > > > My address is: > > > > John Mackey, KS0F > > PO Box 1586 > > Beaverton, Oregon 97075 > > > > thanks > > > > ------ Original Message ------ > > Received: Mon, 16 Jul 2007 06:46:52 PM CDT > > From: "Bill Hudson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > To: <[email protected]> > > Subject: RE: [Repeater-Builder] Any Motorola "banana reeds" still around? > > > > > > > > Roger ~ > > > Lots of people think these "banana" reeds are going to fit in their > Micors > > > and other standard Motorola radios - some have asked directly. > > > These old "banana" reeds only work in Motorola radios constructed in the > > > 1950's - or early 60's, that take a reed that is about 4 inches long. > They > > > may not be what John Mackey and others think they are. > > > > > > Your reeds will go out Wednesday.
