Jay, Not sure what band you are on, but antennas 3 ft apart is a problem.
A TX puts out not only its main carrier, but also wide band noise which will be on your receive frequency. Also at 3 ft the carrier could be swamping the receiver. Might comment on your antenna setup and band. 73, ron, n9ee/r >From: Jay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Date: 2007/07/16 Mon PM 10:38:51 CDT >To: [email protected] >Subject: [Repeater-Builder] newbie question: in and out problem > >i am trying to build a simple repeater setup here in the philippines. i >already have a home made C.O.R. receiver and transmitter and two >antennas but 3 ft close to each other. the thing is when it receives a >weak signal it goes in and out in transmitting it. can anyone give me >an advice on how to fix this problem? > > Ron Wright, N9EE 727-376-6575 MICRO COMPUTER CONCEPTS Owner 146.64 repeater Tampa Bay, FL No tone, all are welcome.
