Very good chance it's a plain vanilla 2N2222. Very
common NPN small-signal silicon transistor. They also
go by the name PN2222; same part, different lead
bending configuration. They come in epoxy (as yours
is) and small metal can, about 5mm in diameter. The
PNP complement is 2N2907.

With the component facing you, as it is in the photo,
the leads are Emitter, Base, Collector, in that order.
It looks like only the collector lead is still
present.
