on My back up 220 repeater, when I ordered it from Spectrum Comms. I had them install one of these doo-hickeys...If all your looking for is an morse ID ... this does the job. I wanted a simple (single) rack mount repeater, I could take up to the hill ...pull all the remotes,controller ,dvr...and all the bells & whistles off the hill...and just throw up something simple, that works in its place. the comm-spec IDer is mounted right inside the transmitter housing, so All I do is hook up 12vdc power and the duplexer cables and were on the air...
