I would suspect that the CTCSS is part and parcel with the uP, and not separate-able (if that's a word...) And even if they are, the ones I've seen are crappy decoders, prone to talk-off, and do not respond to reverse burst, not even 'chicken-burst'. Once opened, the decoder stays open until squelch closes. Not worth the effort. -- Jim Barbour WD8CHL
