For our American Red Cross use...local chapter
We are in a project to make a simple repeater from two IC H-16 VHF (donation)
to assist us in our immediate response in a small community (outside of
continental U.S.).
1. We are looking for a simple controller, no bells and whistles,, just the
cables coming out of the controller and plugged into the audio/ptt to activte
the repeater. We would like to have this controller encased.
We now have the following:
a. 9913 coaxial cable
b. solar panels
c. auto batteries
d. access to 200 ft. tower
e. station master cellwave antennae
1. We do not intend to use duplexer.
aa. the ic- h 16 would be primary repeater.
bb. we are using Ht-600/mt-1000 portables
cc. we are always looking out to purchase (shallow pocket) ht-600/mt-1000
vhf...proven
to be a workhorse in our harsh salty environment (island close to salt
water).
any recommendation/suggestion from this group.
