Shawn, Yes, the Motorola Saber radios have an internal 2 ampere fuse, F1. It is P/N 6505757V02, currently priced at $ 1.52. It is a surface-mount device, which requires some skill and special tools to replace. I have scanned the page with the circuit board layout, and I am sending it to you directly. I have marked the location of the fuse.
I hope you did not press the PTT button while you had the battery adaptor connected, because the fuse protects everything except the power amplifier.
