Mushy sounds like there's too much de-emphasis. Make sure you don't have any de-emphasis going on in the controller, either at the RX audio amp or the TX amp. I have a MSR2000 with a CAT controller and the interface via the squelch gate card and it sounds great. Have you followed the alignment of the exciter/deviation as per the manual on the 2000 so that you have the proper compression of the audio and the deviation limited to ~5K, etc.? If you don't have a manual that is a problem. de WD7F John in Tucson

I now have a running MSR2000 and NHRC-5 controller. I have one problem.. the audio sounds mushy, almost emphasized. I tapped in to pin 17 from the Squelch Card but, I think I'm not getting a clean signal. Is there a better spot to tap in to? I read somewhere I might need to remove a resistor off the Squelch Card but, I have no manuals for this. Any help appreciated thanks! Yahoo! Groups Links -- No virus found in this incoming message.
