Our SCom 7K Controllers have the Vyex DAB boards installed, which means we have some 2000 plus wav file samples stored on the ram module (in addition to the mfgr supplied files).
Within those files are such classics as the Marcia, Marcia, Marcia file, which fire off for various controller conditions. Other selections include Star Wars, Oz, Dirty Harry, Young Frankenstein classics. The sad part is how few people understand both the source and context of said files. Then after a time we end up turning off the controller voice and wav automatic responses because they tend to pi$$-off the nicer repeater core-uses (the folks we enjoy having on the club machines). All that money and time setting up whiz-bang repeater controllers and 98.5% of our normal operations don't use those features except when toggled (triggered) in manual operation. But when they play in the right context... they're still funny as heck to hear. cheers, s. > [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > D-Star, D-Star, D-Star, D-Star ....Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! > (old ref to "The Brady Bunch" had to say it!)
