There is a high precision attenuator resistor inside that needs to 
be found, located, purchased, installed and calibrated.  Easy enough 
to do all but the last mentioned.  The person selling you the 
replacement pad might also provide you with the "calset data" on 
a pcmcia card and the instructions on how to install the new software. 

If you're really doing it first class then you even buy/obtain the 
cute little sticker that sticks over the original front panel value 
and says 60 watts. 

Regardless, the power upgrade mod will cost min $100 to $250 
depending on who, what and where.
