It's in the MVA article on the Genesis page.  There's even a photo that
points out which resistor it is. Just align the photo to your board using
the mic jack (which is in the lower left corner of the photo) and it's
obvious.

Note that the mod is only needed if you are running NiMH batteries. Most
vendors are still shipping NiCD batteries for the HT600/MT1000 radios.  And
some are even putting the proper value of thermistor in them.
