For the learned group... I'm having trouble with programming yet another Spectra. To make a very long story short, I have received a Code 12 (Serial error), a Code 16 (Software Incompatibility error) and then the RSS came up and said that the radio had been "Selectively Inhibited" - whatever the hell THAT meant. I can read it but cannot write anything into it. What IS in it is nothing - one trunked profile, and that is blank.
Currently the radio is in a FL 01/82. I tried to program it back with the original profile file, but the computer and RSS both crashed! This resulted in my having to reboot the computer, and it corrupted the archive file. I have contacted the previous owner of the radio and am getting another copy of the archive from him. Anyone have ideas what may have happened?? If you want/need the sordid details (step-by-step) of how this went down, ask and I can either post it here, or we can exchange messages direct.
