Hi Mick and group. I have found from the manual for the 38A on the groups web site that the RS232 port is wired non-standard (3-2, 4-3, 5-5 with pc 4-6 & 7-9 linked) and can now access the port with 9k6, but it has been set up by a company and has its own password and the default does not work.
I can now get into the programming connector on the front and tried the reset code of 3282# 2532# as mentioned in another past posting and 3282# 25327# as shown in the 38A manual, which I would have thought would be similar. Don't know what response I should get from the two code, assume they are put in after each other, but the RS232 port still shows the existing text, which I would expected to have changed to some Zetron text. Thanks for the help Richard ----- Original Message ----- From: mick To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, February 11, 2008 11:13 AM Subject: re zetron max 38 hi richard, you dont need any specific software to access the zetron, hyperterminal will do it for you. baud rate is setup in the main menu of the zetron. make sure when u setup your com port the xoff/xon is the one you choose. you should then get a message saying password the default password is 12038,this should get u into the main menu. hope this helps mick
