Hi Carl!

I had a similar concern a few years back when I got a free site that had a
460 Stationmaster on top of the tower. Being Free and already in place I said
sure and but the antenna on the air (140 ft LDF5 hardline) The gurus
informed me that on a Vertical like the Station Master will introduce downtilt
of
about 2 degrees per 10 megs in freq. So I had around 3-4 degrees of
downtilt..... but it was free and in place, so I lived with it for a few years

If you can pickup a DB Dipole style antenna (DB420, 404, 408) downtilt is
not an issue even if the freq is off, just reduced gain.

I replace that Station master with a DB408 a few years back and even thou it
had less gain there was no down tilt so my range did not suffer.

I'd wait for a dipole 1st!

Have I confused you yet?
