Why would they come knocking on MY door...surely they would knock on 
the persons door that sent it?

This is the main reason why Motorola are largely avoided in the UK 
due to the 'closed door' attitude. I would bet that I would have a 
real problem finding an authorised dealer willing or now able to 
program a 5000 for me. I wonder how many Motorola repeaters 
throughout the world have had their proms 'tickled' by borrowed s/w?
