I've tuned a few Mitreks and Micors and GEs with simple volt meter. I bought an old Simpson 360 analog just for this. Having an instant response real meter is needed for the tuning especially for the low dips in some steps.
However, I always use the manual's instruction in tuning. It makes life so much easier. I do have a Mot and GE test set and this is much better than the Simpson, but know some do not have access. 73, ron, n9ee/r >From: sgreact47 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Date: 2008/03/04 Tue AM 03:36:44 CST >To: [email protected] >Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Re: Mitrek tune up > > Eric Grabowski ...> wrote: >> > >> Seriously though, any analog VOM with a 50 microamp >> movement will work just fine.
