Hi guys,
I got a repeater on 147.225 and I use a db224a for the antenna. SWR is about
1.9 to 1. It seems to work just fine despite that. I tried to add an inch or
two to each of the four folded dipoles, thinking the swr would improve on lower
(2m) frequencies. It did not. Swr got worse. Someone told me the harness was as
much to blame as dipole lenghts. Is that true?
I have installed a few of the new db224a's and they have this strange stub on
the harness. They also have a better swr in the 2m ham band. Why/what is up
with the new stub on the newer db-224a's.
