Hi All, Let me first of all say that I don't know if the 5000 I have is working or faulty! It is not complete as I only have the control tray and the vco/rf tray (no psu or pa).
It's a uhf CXB secure capable version. This is what I have done in an attempt to read the code plug....Connected 12v dc to the relevent wires on the 9 way sil socket and 5v dc at the relevent wires. The 6 way molex is unconnected as is the 40 way ribbon connector to the remote board. When I switch on the psu....Nothing!!!! When I put the toggle switch to 'reset' the led display says 8.8.8. the secure fail led illuminates, as does the leds on the remote unit fail,line ptt,fail soft,trc encode. I have changed some of the jumpers to tell the unit that there isn't a secure board fitted but it didn't make any difference (I have restored them to their original position) Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the alarms out so I can read the code plug please (that exercise failed as well!)
