Ok since we are talking about service monitors I have a question that has been nagging me since I recieved mine. Which for those of you that remember is working great, is a D model and was calibrated just before I got it. When I am in spectrum analyzer mode with duplex gen on and offset set to 0.000 I get nulls when I am using a straight thru jumper cable, no device attached. I can deal with this as long as it doesn't fall where I am working, but, there is a switch marked IMAGE. When I move the switch between the two positions (high or low) it moves the nulls. I thought this had to do with IF or something but it changes rhe readings when I am testing by several meg. When I key up an ht nearby the spectrum display is always on freq, but it looks like the generated freq moves. Again I have double checked the offset is set to 0 in the duplev generator settings It doesn't mention use or setting of this image switch in the manual except to say that it selects high or low offset for duplex. I would think that it would have no effect it the offset where set to 0.000
Any ideas Signed Stumped Rob KS4EC Sent by Good Messaging (www.good.com) -----Original Message----- From: tallinson2 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, April 07, 2008 09:09 PM Eastern Standard Time To: [email protected] Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Re: IFR 1600s When I was working, the company I worked for used Cardinal. They always did good work and quite reasonable. That's who I'd use.
