I guess they used different suppliers at different times. The cables I got with the 641s & 642s I got from Wacom all say: WACOM PRODUCTS MODIFIED RG-214 DOUBLE SHIELDED. As I mentioned previously, Lloyd Alcorn felt that silver plated shields involved a cost increment without any discernible improvement in isolation or intermod products.
