Hi Group!
Just testing the combined knowledge of the group in regards to Instability
problems with Procom Duplexers configured with especially Vertex Standard
VXR-9000 series repeaters.
One of our dealers has been having troubles with the Procom series DPF 2/6-150
Duplexer matching into the VXR-9000 repeater.
The issue is that the Repeater TX seems to be upset with the Procom
products only where other brands present no problems whatsoever. This is cured
by changing the TX harness length to gain acceptable performance, whereas any
other Duplexer tried presents no problems whatsoever.
The same original loom (RG174) has been utilised in all tests with all
Duplexers, with all other products operating to spec, except the Procom. The
DPF 2/6-150 Duplexer problems can be cured by altering the feeder length from
repeater to Duplexer. The original length was 700mm for around 153 MHz TX
between Repeater and Procom. All Duplexers were run up on an HP8920 with the
usual 50Z attenuators present.
Something smells of an impedance mismatch with the Procom product as all
other brands test out OK, we have tried two Procom Duplexers of identical spec
with the same issues of transmitter foldback of power with this particular
config.
Any feedback or comments would be greatly appreciated!
All the very best...
