Make sure you don't have any early model Mocom 70 (we're talking early
70s here). The initial production runs did not have the famous and
reliable cavity front end in the receiver but a series of copper cans
with coils inside. These were as broad as a barn door and resulted in
desense from any radio within a couple of city blocks. Motorola
rapidly responded to complaints and switched to the same type of
receiver front end as had been in the Motrac. Problem solved. A word
to the wise.

That being said, if you insist on using a Mocom 70, keep it cheap
because there are lots better, more reliable and more compact radios
in the used market these days.

In the "adjustes" file there are some interior photos.

As others have said, that radio is the USA model called
the "Mocom 70". It was preceded by the Motrac (hybrid
tube/transistor) and the Motran (all transistor) and followed
by the Micor.
