I'm in the process of working on a "deaf" Mastr2 VHF intermittent mid
power station (60w). The EZ3 test set I have when in position A
connected to the receiver shows no less than .75 volts and as high as
2.1 volts across the tuning range of L603.

The fold out copy of LBI30109 "138-174 MHz MASTR II Reciever ALIGNMENT
PROCEDURE" shows Step 1 of the "Complete Receiver Alignement" as "With
no signal applied, adjust L603 (FM detector) for a meter reading of
approximately 0.38 volt".

No matter what I do, I have been unable to get this to tune down
anywhere below the .75 volt level.

Ideas?

I first went through the first few steps of the "Front End Alignment"
procedure with the test set in position "C" but have not been to peak
to reading about 1.2 volt. On arrival, it was pegged at almost 2 volt.

Also upon arrival, the 10 volt bus circuit was showing pegging at 11.0
volts. This has since been readjusted to 10.0 volt.

Help!
