Dave,

Yes, you must adjust at least the five front-end coils, but it is best that
you have a service manual in front of you when performing a significant band
change on a TKR-750 repeater. Both the front end of the TX-RX board and the
VCOs should be adjusted for optimum performance. An accurate service
monitor to set and adjust the repeater is required, and you should be
familiar with using the SINAD meter function to adjust the radio. There are
many adjustments to make on a TKR-750, and you may not know how many
"diddle-stick artists" tinkered with it before you got it. A full alignment
is a good investment.

If the serial number of your TKR-750 is below 60700001, you need service
manual B51-8556-10, about $23. If your unit's serial number is higher, then
you need service manual B51-8556-20, about $33. You can order these manuals
from Pacific Coast Parts (www.pacparts.com) and other Kenwood parts houses.

Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Kenwood TKR-750

HI ,I am New,
I have a TKR-750 that was on 159.xx MHz. I moved it to 147.xx MHz. The
transmit works great. What do I have to adjust on the rcv side? I
understand 5 coils have to be tweaked. Please explain.
