If you talked to the Times engineers at the Wallingford, Ct facility,
they are not correct. I was at that facility several years ago and
discussed the problem of PIMS and LMR-600 cable. We discussed the
possibilities of the connectors causing most of the problems.
There is a Motorola letter that warns about the problems of
braid-over-foil coax. You can find it on the repeater Builders site.
