The last crew I hired cost me $1.00 per foot per man on the tower plus $60.00 per hour for ground crew.

Anybody got the background to provide a rough estimate for climber costs to string two runs of hard line to 1300 Ft and remove the old runs? I am guessing the cost will mean the end of the line for this repeater but need to let the club board know. Back when we put these lines up, we could still use the elevator and climb ourselves. These days we are all 25 yrs older, OSHA made the station disconnect the elevator, and liability concerns means the station wouldn't even remotely consider non professionals on the tower.
