I don't belive so. It is a moto MTR2000. Nothing fancy. I didn't install the repeater origionally. I have taken it to the shop for repairs once, over a year ago. About the only constant is time of day. Mornings and evenings mostly. There are at least 2 other VHF repeaters on that same tower. One of the other ones may be doing funny things as well. I have got to investigate further on that.

Output to input PIM or other sources like that with a digital audio delay, will sound like that... a hollow "echo" chamber, often with any tones or low level noises really amplified... like stage PA system to mic "feedback" loops.
