RFS/Celwave is a good brand, but so is Decibel Products, Telewave, Comprod,
and others. Before you decide upon a brand, perhaps you might examine the
type and pattern of the antenna which is most suitable. For example, an
omnidirectional antenna is not appropriate if your repeater site is off to
one side of the intended coverage area. In some cases, an aluminum dipole
antenna is superior to a fiberglass antenna. More information is needed
about your site to make recommendations for a type of antenna, then your
pocketbook will determine what brand to choose.

Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Celwave Antenna

I'm considering upgrading my repeater antenna to Celwave brand. Any idea on
how good quality these are? The one I have now is made cheap and does not
perform well, actually never have had any luck getting the thing tuned well.
It will be operating on the 462.600 gmrs repeater freq. Just want some
opinions on whether I'll be wasting money on a Celwave product. Antenna
specs are 6 dB gain, no cutting required.
