I had noticed that years ago when I tried to turn one down to less than half power. I was watching the PA current reading at the test point and noticed that the power was going down, but the current was not. I finally realized that the excess current was going someplace, and that was to make heat. The current has to go somewhere.... 73, Joe, K1ike
