Francois, I have a 100W MSR2000 UHF and all the adjustments are in the PA itself (intermittent unit). 400mW out of the exciter drives it, with no feedback.
My suggestion would be to look at the schematic and rig up your own feedback circuit with a variable resistor. I'm not familiar with the 30W version, but it sounds like if the circuit is open to fail downward to zero output to protect the equipment.
