I'd say it depends on the size of antenna and the connectors on the ends.

I have connected a 1/2" hardline cable to the antenna via a 2' superflex
jumper with N's

I have also used 1/2" superflex jumpers on 7/8" hardline with N connectors
on the antenna and equipment and 7/16" DIN on the 7/8".

With that said the more connectors you add creates more loss and more
chances for water to get into the coax. If I'd had it available I would run
superflex for the entire run.

Now when I get into exotic stuff like EIA 7/8" Flange and EIA 1 5/8" Flange
I connect the hardline straight to the antenna and equipment as it is kinda
pointless to try to make it more flexible on one end or the other.
