I'd say it depends on the size of antenna and the connectors on the ends. I have connected a 1/2" hardline cable to the antenna via a 2' superflex jumper with N's
I have also used 1/2" superflex jumpers on 7/8" hardline with N connectors on the antenna and equipment and 7/16" DIN on the 7/8". With that said the more connectors you add creates more loss and more chances for water to get into the coax. If I'd had it available I would run superflex for the entire run. Now when I get into exotic stuff like EIA 7/8" Flange and EIA 1 5/8" Flange I connect the hardline straight to the antenna and equipment as it is kinda pointless to try to make it more flexible on one end or the other.
