I had to build one of these 5 years ago. I had a mast from a DB-413 that was a 406-420 cut antenna. I used a New DB-408 and a New DB-222 and mounted the DB-408 on top and the DB222 on the lower part of the mast. I used a good quality RG-8U coax jumper to the bottom of the mast for the DB-408. Little to no interaction between the two antennas.
If I were on a tower that I got charged for each antenna and line I would build one of these again and use a single feed line and dual band duplexer. I have seen a DB-420 and a DB224 on the same mast but there is to much interaction between the two antennas and the return loss goes up. Good Luck! Paul R.
