Wife and I both have the new Alinco with 1.2GHz, a friend bought one... and we're musing about a 1.2GHz repeater.

It's not really ARRL's job, plus they do push VHF+ contesting, etc...

Alinco came out with a 1.2 GHz handheld for the ham market again after
there not being one for a decade or more. How many people are putting
up 1.2 GHz machine for them and how many rigs have sold?

It's the economy, plus the onslaught of plenty of better/easier ways
to communicate that's the "problem" here, not ARRL.
