I have a Mastr Pro repeater on 53.29 Mhz (51.59 MHz input) using the R-103 duplexer.
How many stages does your duplexer have? That model could have 4, 6, or 8 stages. Have you tried using a different antenna? You might have an antenna problem. The Mastr Pro transmitter is usually pretty clean. ------ Original Message ------ Received: Sat, 03 Oct 2009 07:01:54 PM PDT From: Thomas Elmore <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: [Repeater-Builder] GE Master Pro Six Meter Repeater > > Hello, I have a repeater currently on the air operating 52.810 out, 51.110 in, using a 100 watt GE Master Pro and a Sinclair R-103G duplexer. The antenna is a FM Broadcast model Dominator 6M. The feed line is about 50 feet of RG-213 which I plan to upgrade shortly. I have been having issues with desense that I cannot seem to locate. If I terminate the duplexer into a 50 ohm load and run a RF generated signal through an iso T at the dummy load I can set the signal generator down to about .2uV and hear no desense when the transmitter is keyed. If I repeat this test with the dummy load at the end of the feed line in place of the antenna I still hear no desense. If I plug the feed line back into the antenna I get quite a bit of desense. I noticed if I place the transmitter in tune mode which drops the power back quite a bit I still hear almost the same amount of desense when the transmitter is keyed. I have checked the swr both between the transmitter and > the duplexer and between the dupelxer and the antenna and it is about 0. My question has anyone else used the Sinclair duplexer on 6 meters in repeater service? It requires a fair amount of modification to get it to work at 52.810 but the modification is documented on line. Also are there any issues with the 6 meter tx strip that could be causing spurs or harmonics that show up when attached to a antenna? > > > > Thanks > Tom KA1NVZ > Anchorage, Alaska > > > > >
